Having been founded in 1968 by the acquisition of the agency representing an English Protection and Indemnity Club (P&I), our specialised firm has established itself over the years as a market leader in the field of marine insurance through niche-specific innovation. From early on we offered insurance cover concepts based on international direct insurers and reinsurers - an approach that has become standard practice all over the world.
Tradition leads to obligation. Former navy captain and corporate founder Hubertus Clausius leads the company into the future under the new generation banner CLAUSIUS MARINE along with co-shareholder Dr. Thomas Keller who joined in 2008, guaranteeing professional expansion.
